7th June 2013, Mr. Clément Musangwabatware sworn in as Deputy Ombudsman in charge of preventing and fighting corruption and other related offences in the ceremony held at Parliament on 7th June 2013. Mr. Musangabatware Clément replaces Mr. Nzindukiyimana Augustin who served as deputy Ombudsman for six years.

In his remarks, His Excellency the President of the Republic welcomed new members for their newly appointed jobs that require more efforts and he called on new cabinet members and deputy Ombudsman to focus on addressing the challenges and concerns of the citizens
In the same function two ministers sworn in Mr. Busingye Johnston, the new Minister of Justice and the Attorney General and Mrs. Ford Mugabo, the new minister of cabinet affairs.
