Police Supervisory course trainees commended the Office of the Ombudsman’s fight against corruption

30 senior Police officers from Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan , Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Malawi who are undergoing a two months Supervisory course in Rwanda visited the Office of the Ombudsman on 13th February 2013 in order to enrich their course package .

At the Office of the Ombudsman, they were given presentation by the Permanent Secretary Mr. Mbarubukeye Xavier on the mission and the responsibilities of the Office of the Ombudsman. For clarification, they asked different questions especially on the declaration of assets and on how the Office of the Ombudsman conducts investigations on corruption and other related offences .

On behalf of the trainees, Superintendent Francis Mwanana from Uganda National Police thanked the Office of the Ombudsman for the warm welcome and saluted the work done by the Office of the Ombudsman in fight against corruption.

The Supervisory course is designed with a view to equipping Police Officers with necessary knowledge and skills to perform managerial duties in as far as National and International affairs are concerned
