The Office of The Ombudsman has updated the Delegation from Mozambique on the Leadership code of Conduct and anti-corruption measures

Kigali- 19th February 2020, The Office received the delegation from Electricidade do Mocambique (EDM) who arrived to Rwanda to learn from the Office of The Ombudsman on measures of fighting corruption.
Among others, the delegation was told the background of the Office of The Ombudsman of Rwanda, shared with success stories and how the leadership code of conduct is applied successfully.

Jean Aimé KAJANGANA
Jean Aimé KAJANGANA, the Director of Monitoring of Interdictions and Incompatibilities of Senior Officials Unit, told the delegation the political will in Rwanda that facilitate the work of the Office of The Ombudsman. ‘The President of The Republic of Rwanda detests corruption and helps in fighting it at any cost’ the director said.

The Chief of the Delegation from Mozambique Ivone Manganhela Bambo who is also in charge of the Unit in charge of leadership code of conduct at EDM said that her work at the institution is similar to the ombudsman’s work in different countries. She said that her Unit work under supervision on the National Ethic Committee and they serve around 4000 staff who every morning receive the anti-corruption messages on their computers before starting the work
She also said that the ant-corruption Unit started in July 2018 and this is why they need to learn from expertise of different ombudsman institutions.
This delegation arrived in Rwanda on 17th February 2020 and is comprised by the following personnel
